About Us
Pound Cakes On A Mission
Fresh out of college I landed a new job! I planned to join my church on our mission trip that year. But with my new work schedule that wasn't going to happen. One year later, the pandemic hit the world and this delayed our mission trip another year again. During that summer year my nephew asked me to bake a Lemon Pound Cake for his birthday! He enjoyed it so much, I shared it on my Instagram! This picture caught the eye of Rochester's highly sought after food blogger, Christina Kostar of WhatsgoodIntheRoc!! Christina asked to buy a lemon pound cake. But they weren't for sale! Christina admired the "mission of this lemon pound cake "! She enjoyed the taste of pound cake so much and shared it on her Instagram ! Thereafter, I received a pound cake request from former 13 Wham TV news anchor Norma Holland, then Lawyer and Radio personality Al Parisi, then former Diversity & Inclusion Director of Constellation Brands, and now CEO of Bettman Consulting Group, LLC Sarah Bettman ! We've been blessed to encounter many amazing food bloggers, amazing news anchors and many more amazing people of many walks of life ! In 2020 we landed a TV interview with news anchor, Wendy Mills of Spectrum News , for our pound cakes! In 2022, I decided to pursue our mission into a business. We officially open this Spring! Our goal is to continue baking our pound cakes with love and joy while supporting hunger initiatives!
